We hear them every day. Happy, upbeat and catchy tunes that like it or not we have all caught ourselves humming along to at one time or another. They are the jingles to the products we know, use, love and loathe. But what sort of people devotes their life to creating these infectious tunes? The Jinglists is a story of one such duo.
Step-brothers and jingle-writing geniuses Leigh and Loman live in their own little world. They haven’t left their apartment in 30 years and are barely on nodding terms with reality, but they find comfort and meaning in their work, crafting brain-searing, highly infectious melodies for products they know little about. Though their existence may seem abnormal they live and work in “relative” harmony in the search for the perfect jingle.
Until one day their lives are thrown into turmoil when they glimpse the girl of their dreams through the mail-hole of their apartment door. Leigh and Loman battle each other for the love and affection of a girl they’ve never met and who they will probably never glimpse again. In the world Leigh and Loman it is a battle of epic proportions.
This extraordinary comedy with it’s with razor sharp wit, slick physical comedy and hilarious musical numbers that will stay with you long after the curtain falls and is a show not to miss on tour in 2012.
