Three weeks on – three weeks off is a phrase 10 year old Freya Stanley lives by. It’s Christmas, and Freya waits impatiently with her Nana for Dad to comehome for three weeks of quality time. Or so she thought.
When Christmas is unexpectedly cut short, Freya hatches a plan. Like any normal 10 year old girl with a wild imagination and a passion for Pictionary, Pig Latin and 80's slasher movies, Freya will do whatever it takes to keep her family together.
Boxing Day is a family story with humour and heart, capturing the imagination and magic of youth for an adult audience. With its premiere season in 2011 at the Old Fitzroy Theatre, Boxing Day is ready to hit the road for aRegional NSW audience in October.
